As I've talked about and searched for before, I really want a pedestrian barrier to work with. I'm unsure how I would interplay my materials with the object-turned-art-piece, but I do believe that something like this would be very interesting placed into the context of a gallery. To me, a damaged fence like this says a lot about loosing control, physically and perhaps mentally if the driver(s) were not in a fit state to drive. An object like this, completely battered by a moving car, has an unsettling presence to me - as the fence could be what is left after a horrid accident. The unsettling, horrid feeling that the viewer may experience is something I would like to happen when experiencing my work. It's proven to be a challenge to acquire something like this, as they're property of the council, but I plan to make it happen.
